Make Your Own Smorgasbord

Do you ogle at the fancy prepared foods you can purchase by the pound at your local upscale market? Are you spending your whole paycheck at Whole Foods? Stop! These are simple dishes you can make yourself, and in large batches in advance to provide lunch for the week or brunch for a crowd. In this class, you’ll prepare some noteworthy dishes found on the prepared foods bar (sans plastic clam shell container) and learn techniques for making endless creations of your own to mimic what you see in half the time it takes you to wait on line.

Menu items could include…

  • Saffron Cous Cous with Pistachios and Apricots

  • Adobo Roast Chicken

  • Chickpeas in a Creamy Peanut Red Curry Sauce

  • Baked Cauliflower Macaroni and Cheese

  • Sesame Edamame Quinoa Salad with Scallion Ginger Vinaigrette

  • Kale Caesar Salad with Buttery Herb Croutons

  • Cannellini Beans with Parsley Walnut Pesto
