In this hands-on baking class, we will break down the basics behind creating the perfect scone. Armed with scientific baking knowledge, you will practice the techniques that are foundational to producing perfectly flaky and tender scones. We’ll bake both sweet and savory varieties, that you can enjoy for breakfast, with a bowl of stew, at afternoon tea or even as dessert. You will understand the role that each ingredient plays in the symphony of a scone, and be able to mix and match recipes at home. You’ll explain how temperature and the mixing method impact the final result. You will create your own from a selection of fillings and we will brainstorm countless variations on the recipes.

• Oat Cream Scones with your choice of Dried Fruit
