Homemade Challah and Apple Sauce

  • Teaching Table 475 Sterling Place Brooklyn, NY USA (map)

If you’ve never made your own Challah for Rosh Hashanah (or any occasion), this is the year! Ring in the Jewish New Year with new skills. We will demystify challah-making for the home cook - from working with yeast to shaping loaves with various braids.

In this all ages virtual cooking workshop, you’ll create a stunning loaf, filled with apples and cinnamon or your dried fruit or spread of choice. While your dough is rising, prepare a scratch-made apple sauce the whole family will enjoy! We will also discuss tips for how to enjoy and preserve this bread.
